Music Production & Writing Producers & Composers
The roles of a producer and a composer are distinct but complementary in the music
creation process. While the composer is responsible for writing and arranging the music,
the producer oversees the production and sound of the recording.
Singers & Vocalists
In another sense, some people define a vocalist as a classically trained singer. In this
definition of a vocalist, you focus technique and adherence to the composition. A singer,
on the other hand, is a vocal performer that tries to convey the emotion of the composition.
You are judged less by your technique.
Session Musicians
A session musician is an artist who backs up the main recording artist. By definition,
session musicians are not permanent members of a band or other music group. Rather,
they are back-up artists who play an instrument (or several) or contribute back-up vocals
for a track.
Songwriters
A songwriter is a musician who professionally composes musical compositions or writes
lyrics for songs, or both. The writer of the music for a song can be called a composer,
although this term tends to be used mainly in the classical music genre and film scoring.

Jingles & Intros
Intros generally mark the start of a song (while outros are the finish). They aim to spark
the listener’s curiosity and introduce the song’s melody. A jingle is frequently used in
branding or advertising, and it can be associated with the audio logo of a company i.e. its
acoustical voice.
Audio Engineering & Post Production
Mixing & Mastering

A voice over is used to provide more context or enhance an existing narrative.
Female voice over
A woman’s voice has a higher frequency than a man’s voice. Higher is the frequency,
higher is the pitch and hence, shriller is the sound. Thus, a woman’s voice is usually
shriller than a man’s voice. In the case of a man’s voice, the pitch is usually low and
therefore the sound is flat or grave.
Male voice over
The male voiceover is typically utilized for selling products that are aimed at the male
consumer. A male voice is typically used to sell beer and tools, while female voices are
typically used for toilet paper, cleaning and laundry commercials.

over is to provide narration, dialogue, or commentary in French, either by translating the
original content or creating new content specifically in French.

Audiobook Production
The process of producing an audiobook is a detailed and extensive process from start to
